PAUSE FOR HOPE is an ecumenical service being held under the auspices of Clitheroe Christians in Partnership at 3.00pm until 4.00 pm on Sunday 24th October 2021 at St Michael & St John’s Church, followed by refreshments. Although described as a “service”, the aim of the event is to pause and reflect in a spirit of hope for all affected by cancer. Special guest, Fiona Castle, widow of the famous entertainer Roy Castle, will be speaking at the service about her experience of supporting Roy through his cancer and how her Christian faith has sustained her through many difficult periods in her life. Recommended reading is Give us this day which Fiona wrote in 1993 and which has been reprinted many times.
