A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY Flower Festival to celebrate 80th anniversary of St Mary’s church being built on the weekend of 21/22 October.
This is promising to be a really special event, but to run it properly we will need a lot of help and support. There are some rotas on the notice board for helpers—please fill in any time you are available. We are hoping to have craft stalls in the hall throughout. If you would like a spot let Susan White know. This event will finish on Sunday evening with an all request ‘Songs of Praise’ You will be able to get your requests in over the festival weekend. Do join in this joyful event.
If you can help please put your name on the rotas on the notice board. We are looking for any photos people may have celebrating events in the Church—weddings, baptisms or First Holy Communions, to be displayed during the festival, this will form a display to show events over the last 80 years. Search your albums—all material loaned will be returned. There is also a box in the porch for anyone who would like to make a donation towards the flowers.
Opens 11am Friday with a blessing from Fr John. This is a preview day—admission £2. Saturday open 11am—5pm, Sunday after Mass approx 1pm – 5pm with an all request Songs of Praise—requests can be put in throughout the weekend. Craft Fair and Archive of the church past and present and Refreshments available in the Hall —Admission Sat & Sun £3. We still need volunteers to help on the days as well as cakes and raffle prizes
