CHRISTMAS FAIR Saturday 7 December 12noon—4pm. This year as part of the Christmas Fair we are having a mini tree festival in church. This should be a great event. It is hoped it will be a parish and village wide event, with as many groups and individuals joining in as possible. We already have a wide variety of stalls booked in, selling everything from gifts and cards to baubles and wooden reindeer. There will be the usual draw with prizes including a luxury hamper, wines and spirits. The trees will be displayed in church from 12noon until the end of the Fair. They can then either be collected or displayed in the Hall. You can then arrange to collect at your convenience. We would like to have a veritable forest of trees and there will be prizes for the best ones, decided by public vote. The tree must be no taller than 3ft with any lights battery operated. It can be decorated in any style to reflect your organisation or the season and be of any material and design. So come on dust out your baubles, put your thinking caps on and design a tree. Remember the song “O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree how lovely are your branches.” Lets see how many really lovely trees we can display, groups or individuals—anyone can join in.
